At least 100,000 demonstrators rallied in Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square on Sunday, July 22, to protest over the exclusion of LGBT people from a new surrogacy law, according to Israeli reports.

These videos show the protesters holding placards and waving rainbow flags as they watched musical performances in the square. Other large demonstrations were held in cities across Israel, the Times of Israel reported.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had pledged to pass surrogacy laws for gay fathers but voted against it after reportedly facing pressure from ultra-Orthodox coalition partners, the newspaper reported. Credit: Shirazi Shimon via Storyful
