Yahoo TV 76-Year-Old Man Taken for Joyride in Stolen Nursing Home Minibus
Two men have been arrested in Queensland for allegedly stealing a nursing home minibus and leading police on an hour-long chase, with an elderly man still on board the vehicle.
According to police, a carer was helping a client exit a minibus in the Maroochydore suburb of Sunshine Coast on Tuesday, June 18, when two men got into the front seat.
The carer tried to stop the pair, and was allegedly kicked in the chest.
Footage shared by the Queensland Police Service shows officers chasing the minibus before using a tire-deflation device to bring it to a stop.
The 76-year-old man was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for observation but was not seriously injured. The carer was also taken to hospital for treatment.
