Moments after graduating from DeKalb County’s Police Academy, newly minted officer Quandre Walker and his academy mates surprised Walker’s girlfriend, who was in the audience for the November 15 ceremony in Georgia, with a proposal, police said.

Video shared on social media by the DeKalb County Police Department captured the romantic moment as it unfolded following the department’s 119th graduation ceremony. Footage shows the graduates turning around to face the audience as four officers reveal a series of signs that read, “K’Loni will you marry me?”

In the footage, spectators cheer as Officer Quandre Walker steps to the front of the audience and kneels down, extending a ring toward a smiling K’Loni. The couple embrace as K’Loni accepts the ring, flashing it to the crowd.

K’Loni said on Facebook that she was “too impressed” with the proposal and said it was a surprise she would “never forget.”
