A German shorthair pointer and a Caucasian shepherd had a fantastic time playing in a snowstorm that swept through areas near Lake Erie on February 28.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning for Western New York until Saturday morning.

The strong winter storm system moving across the Great Lakes region brought consistent snow with high wind gusts to Cattaraugus County, just west of Lake Erie. Western New York expected up to a foot of snow through the afternoon on Friday, according to the NWS.
