Boeing 737 Joins Wildfire Battle in South Australia

A Boeing 737 waterbomber was called in to fight fires threatening homes on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula on Thursday, November 21.

The small town of Edithburgh was evacuated on Thursday morning amid catastrophic bushfire conditions.

The waterbomber was reportedly brought in from the state of New South Wales, which has been experiencing severe bushfire conditions for a number of weeks. In this video, the aircraft can be seen dumping flame retardant over dry fields near Edithburgh. Credit: Kerran Herbert via Storyful
