Cyclone Kenneth made landfall in Pemba city, northern Mozambique, on Tuesday, April 25, bringing strong winds to the Cabo Delgado province, located south of the city.

This footage shows trees whipping back and forth in the winds at a property in the Mecufi district of Cabo Delgado.

About 30,000 people were evacuated, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) said on Twitter. The cyclone brought winds of 220km/h (136mph), UNISDR said, adding that flooding and storm surges of up to 5m (16ft) were predicted.

Before reaching Mozambique, the cyclone swept through the Comoros islands where it killed three people, according to a report from Reuters citing President of the Comoros Union Azali Assoumani. Credit: Mo Baccus via Storyful
