Emergency Responder Lowered Onto LA High-Rise During Fire

Firefighters and helicopter crews in Los Angeles were on the scene of a large fire in a high-rise apartment building on Wilshire Boulevard early on January 29.

This video shows a helicopter lowering a person onto the roof of the building.

Video from the scene showed two firefighters on a raised ladder in what looked like a rescue attempt.

News reports said several people jumped from the building, and minor injuries were reported. Network footage showed a number of people on the roof of the building. Credit: Rosy Cordero via Storyful
