Firefighters Salute Staff of New York-Presbyterian Hospital With Applause and Sirens

Firefighters saluted the staff of New York-Presbyterian hospital in lower Manhattan on April 7 with applause and fire engine sirens in a show of support for medical professionals caring for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At 7 pm every evening, New Yorkers clap to share their gratitude for essential workers as part of the citywide ‘Clap Because We Care’ initiative.

Health care workers in New York have shared their own ways of relieving the pressures of the job by putting together a coronavirus-themed dance routine to the tune Call on Me, and performing classical music to celebrate the work of their colleagues.
