A large fire broke out at a recycling center east of the Long Island Rail Road’s Jamaica Station on Friday, March 16, knocking out service to four of the service’s lines. The Queens, New York, station was closed while fire crews battled the blaze.

According to reports, the fire started at a recycling and waste-removal plant adjacent to the tracks. The LIRR tweeted service was suspended in both directions “until further notice” and for passengers to expect delays.
