Yahoo TV Man Attacks His Attorney After Receiving 47-Year Sentence
A Cleveland man sentenced to 47 years in prison lashed out at his own attorney on February 19 in a Cuyahoga County Common Pleas courtroom, breaking the lawyer’s nose and causing concussion.
This police bodycam footage shows the scuffle, when 42-year-old David Chislton reacted to the news of his sentence from Judge Nancy Margaret Russo, and attacked defense attorney Aaron Brockler.
According to reports from FOX 8 Cleveland and Cleveland.com, Brockler said that he was about to console his client after the sentencing when Chislton sucker-punched him in the head. Brockler added that the attack could have been prevented, as Chislton’s hands were unusually cuffed at his front, rather than his back, during the trial.
