Protesters Call for Removal of Christopher Columbus Monument in Pueblo

One person was arrested during a protest calling for the removal of the Pueblo Christopher Columbus Monument in Colorado on Sunday, July 12, local media reported.

Reports said “hundreds” of people gathered in Pueblo in support of removing the statue and counter-protesters were also at the event.

Citing officials, local media said one person was arrested for disorderly misconduct. Reports said the person “snuck around and tried to fight with protesters.”
