The Tennessee Titans’ NFL game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 15, got off to a scorching start when pyrotechnics equipment caught on fire on the sideline.
According to reports, one of the boxes designed to shoot flames fell over toward the stands and set the turf on fire.
In a statement, the Tennessee Titans said a “mechanical failure” was at fault and added that an inspection was to be carried out on the “defective device.”
Stadium employees extinguished the fire and no one was injured.
