Residents Evacuate Homes as Firefighters Tackle Milpitas Brush Fire

Residents evacuated their communities in the Californian city of Milpitas after a brush fire broke out in the hills nearby on Sunday afternoon, July 22.

California firefighters ordered some people living on Weller Road to leave their homes after the fire grew to about 300 acres, according to SFGate.com. The fire was 40 percent contained by 6 pm.
