While on a three-day hike through the Icelandic Highlands, Serena Ho filmed this footage of steam rising from a volcanic vent in the Kerlingarfjoll range.

For Ho, Kerlingarfjoll “feels like you’re on another planet.” She described the scenery to Storyful: “You’ll pass multicolored rhyolite mountains, rich green valleys and, of course, the fascinating geothermal terrain, where steam rises from the ground and mud pots boil and bubble.” Credit: Serena Ho via Storyful
