Timelapse Shows Smoke Billowing From Lake Fire Burning in Los Angeles County

The Lake Fire continued to scorch thousands of acres in Los Angeles County, California, as firefighters faced hot and dry weather conditions on Thursday, August 13, according to fire officials.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the 10,500-acre blaze was burning near Lake Hughes, a community near the Santa Clarita Valley. Fire officials said a number of communities were ordered to evacuate.

The fire was zero percent contained and had destroyed three structures as of Thursday morning, according to reports.
