Tree Downed By Lightning Strike During Caboolture Thunderstorm

Thunderstorms lashed parts of Queensland on Sunday, October 21, leaving a slew of damage throughout the state’s southeast.

Courier Mail reported a number of large trees were downed in Toowoomba, including a historic old tree in the Bell Street Mall.

In this video, a tree on Pumicestone Road in Caboolture is seen cracked in half, leaving woodchips across the road. Locals said the tree was struck by lightning.
