The Upper Crust: Woman Gives Bread to Roof-Dwelling Possum

This little brushtail possum is no stranger to taking food from Jessica Spiteri’s hand.

The animal, which Spiteri says lives on the roof of her Sydney home, can be seen accepting a slice of bread in video she posted on Twitter on September 19.

Spiteri told Storyful that she regularly feeds the possum. “Sometimes he is happy to eat leaves from the tree outside my house, but other times he will sit and stare at me through the window until I come to give him a treat,” she said. Credit: Jessica Spiteri via Storyful
