Asian elephants at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, New South Wales, celebrated World Elephant Day on Wednesday, August 12, with treats and enrichment snacks.

World Elephant Day, held annually on August 12, was first launched in 2012 “to bring attention to the urgent plight of Asian and African elephants.”
