Firefighters working to contain the Horseshoe wildfire in the hills above San Jacinto, California, on September 14, used air tankers to drop fire retardant on the flames.

The blaze was 10 percent contained and had grown to about 200 acres by 11.30 pm, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.

Areas east of Cottonwood Avenue and south of Mulberry Street were under mandatory evacuation orders, authorities said.
