A rain shortage in northeastern Utah triggered an early peak for seasonal fall foliage, captured in this aerial shot in Logan.

This aerial footage shows the autumnal palette of Logan Canyon in Cache County, recorded September 19. Photographer Matt Marcusen told Storyful that the smoke visible in the footage is from the nearby wildfires.

Reports said Utah’s leaves were changing ahead of the rest of the country’s. Utah’s leaves were predicted to reach their peak colors during the week of September 21 to 28. Credit: Marcusen Aerial Photography via Storyful
