A Labour MP for the London district of Tooting shared a video parodying the cue-card scene in the movie Love Actually in a bid to stoke support for her party in the upcoming election.

Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, who is also an accident-and-emergency (A&E) doctor, shared the so-called “Election Actually” video on Twitter on November 22.

In the video she can be seen knocking at the door of a Conservative household, before pulling out a series of cue cards saying why the man who answered the door should vote Labour. Allin-Khan shared the video and said: "The choice at this election… "

The video parodied the scene in the 2003 film Love Actually when Mark, played by Andrew Lincoln, professed his love to Juliet, played by Keira Knightley, who was married to his best friend. Credit: Dr Rosena Allin-Khan via Storyful
