A funnel cloud was spotted in Cheshire and Greater Manchester on July 19, where it damaged roofs and vehicles in the area.

The funnel cloud was first reported via a weather report from Manchester Airport. The Met Office later shared video of the cloud, referring to it as "a “tornado”.

Visitors to the Royal Horticultural Society’s Tatton Park Flower Show spotted the cloud and posted video to social media.

Residents in Hale shared images of the destruction caused by the cloud, which tore roof tiles and metal off buildings and threw debris onto cars. Credit: Alistair Ward via Storyful
