Hoof's There? Goats Hurry to See Who Rang Doorbell

A pair of goat pals were excited to see who was at the gate of their Ohio home after the doorbell rang on October 25.

A Ring camera owned by Oberlin-based farmer Tammy Tunison captured the moment a delivery driver rang the bell at the gate of her home, causing goats Junior and Alex to rush outside their barn to see who was there.

In a Facebook post, Tunison explained that the pair are used to seeing her and her dog running toward the gate when the bell goes.

However, this time, she “was at the grocery store, when we had a package delivered,” with the goats in her “barn by themselves”. Tunison added, “I never realized they understood what [the bell] meant. I thought they were just following our lead. Well, I was wrong.”

The footage shows Junior running out of the barn, while Alex stops, with Tunison writing that he, “doesn’t understand why I’m not heading for the gate, forgetting I’m not there.”

Tunison regularly films humorous videos of her goats and other pets, posting them to her Hobby Farm Facebook account. Credit: Tammy Tunison via Storyful
