Hundreds of shoppers lined up outside the IKEA in London’s Tottenham district as the furniture giant reopened stores in the United Kingdom on June 1; the stores had been closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

PA Media reported “shoppers arrived before the 10 am opening time and queues snaked around an inside car park,” and said one customer claimed to have waited outside the store for over three hours.

Video shows large numbers of IKEA customers in the building’s parking garage in socially distanced lines as they waited to enter the store.
