Hundreds of Pro-Catalan Demonstrators March Down Highway Near Girona

Hundreds of supporters of imprisoned separatist leaders took to the AP-7 motorway between Aiguaviva and Girona for the second day in a row on October 16, as protests continued in Catalonia.

The protests were in objection to the Spanish Supreme Court’s decision to sentence separatist leaders, including Pro-independence leader Carles Puigdemont, to up to 13 years in prison on charges of sedition.
