Pair of Elks Snack on Trees Outside Colorado Home

Gary Hazelton and his wife, Kris, were on their morning walk through downtown Estes Park, Colorado, when the came across two elk snacking on some leaves on July 14.

Hazelton recorded the pair of elk as they enjoyed the assortment of plant life, and told Storyful, “it is a common occurrence to see the elk downtown here in Estes Park. We are the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and are located only a couple miles away from the entrance gates” which may help to explain why these creatures wander the streets so freely in the area.
