Plane's Emergency Water Landing Surprises Beachgoers in Maryland

A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in shallow water along the beach in Ocean City, Maryland, on July 16, much to the astonishment of beachgoers in the popular resort community.

Graysen Levy was at the beach when the incident occurred, reportedly at around 6.15 pm, and recorded the single-engine plane as it glided across the sky and landed in the water, about a quarter-mile from the beach.

According to reports by law enforcement and local media, the plane was experiencing mechanical problems and the pilot, Trevor H. Deihl, 23, was unable to land at Ocean City Airport, as he had planned.
