Reese's Hands-Free 'Trick-or-Treat Door' Safely Dispenses Candy Through Mailbox

The Hershey Company has unveiled a Reese’s hands-free robotic Halloween door that allows candy to be safely dispensed to trick-or-treaters.

Footage shows the door being tested out by kids in the appropriate location of Hershey, Pennsylvania.

According to a news release by the company, the door can be directed by a remote control from up to 5,000 feet away and is activated by a Bluetooth-enabled speaker, meaning that a safe distance can always be maintained.

“This Halloween is unlike any other, so we’ve upped the ante on creativity as a result,” Reese’s senior brand manager Allen Dark said about the project. “A robotic Reese’s dispensing door is just what the world needs right now!” Credit: The Hershey Company via Storyful
