Russia Deploys Mobile 'Information' Units in Occupied Mariupol

The Russian emergencies ministry has deployed a number of “mobile information units” around the city of Mariupol, days after the last Ukrainian forces were evacuated from the city.

Petr Andryushchenko, an adviser to the Mariupol mayor, said on May 26 that occupying forces had installed several 75-inch television screens at points of mass gatherings, aid distribution points, and water-access areas to spread “propaganda”.

TASS said the screens would broadcast Russian news, “provide background information to residents”, and show children’s cartoons.
