'Suspicious Device' Found in Mullumbimby, New South Wales, Causes Street Shut Down

A bomb squad was called to a street in Mullumbimby, New South Wales, on September 19, after a “suspicious device” was found on Station Street, emergency services said.

A number of businesses were evacuated and Burringbar street was closed in both directions after the device was found at about 7.30 am, police said.

Emergency services were called in from Sydney to assist with the operation which was expected to take all day, according to media reports citing authorities.
