Wildlife Rescue Center Celebrates 'Bear Thanksgiving'

A New York-based wildlife rescue that specializes in caring for bears chose Thanksgiving to send their thanks to those who help staff there take care of their residents.

A video celebrating “Bear Thanksgiving” was shared to YouTube by the Orphaned Wildlife Center, located in Otisville, on November 25 featuring one of the center’s huge residents and the organization’s co-founder, Jim Kowalczik, enjoying a cuddle and some pumpkins.

“This year we are thankful you all of you and to all your support,” the video caption reads.

The center nurtures orphaned animals, in the hope they can be returned to the wild, and often shares videos and updates about the animals in its care to its YouTube channel and Facebook page. Credit: Kerry Clair via Storyful
