Container ships collide on Suez Canal

A dramatic video has emerged of two container ships colliding at the mouth of the Suez Canal, Egypt on Monday. The footage, captured by a passenger on a passing ferry, shows the German-flagged MV Colombo Express and the Singaporean-flagged MV Maersk Tanjong crashing at the northern end of the global trade route. According to Reuters, no casualties have been reported, but three containers from the Colombo Express fell into the water, and the ship was left with a 20-metre dent on its left side.
