Beckwourth Complex Wildfire Grows as Evacuations Ordered in Northern California

Evacuations were ordered in California’s north on July 8 as a wildfire grew to over 14,000 acres.

All residents of the Dixie Valley were ordered to evacuate as the blaze grew to 14,378 acres. The fire was 30 percent contained, according to firefighting authorities.
