The Blue Ridge Fire has burned about 8,000 acres and was threatening homes in Yorba Linda, California, on Tuesday, October 27, local media reported.

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) said there was no containment of the fire, and one home in Yorba Linda has been damaged as of Tuesday morning.

Reports said a number of evacuation orders were issued on Monday. An evacuation warning was issued by Los Angeles County officials at around 2 am on Tuesday.

ALERTWildfire said this footage shows the Blue Ridge Fire nearing cameras at the Gypsum Canyon site, located in Los Angeles County. ALERTWildfire said the blaze was about 100 meters from the cameras.

Multiple wind-driven fires broke out in Southern California on Monday, with strong gusts hampering firefighting efforts. The OCFA said less wind was forecast for the region on Tuesday, possibly allowing firefighters to battle the blaze from the air. Credit: ALERTWildfire via Storyful
