Brooklyn Vigil Commemorates Breonna Taylor on Her 27th Birthday

Demonstrators held vigils around New York City on Friday, June 5, in memory of Breonna Taylor, a Louisville, Kentucky, woman killed by police in an unannounced raid on March 13.

This video shows police helicopters circling overhead at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, where demonstrators gathered on Friday afternoon to commemorate what would have been Taylor’s 27th birthday.

The gathering became a march to the Barclays Center, according to reports.
