Using a laptop on one's lap, rather than on a desk, can get complicated and crowded when Jack the Cat and Mikey the Great Dane want to share the new the office space. Recovering from a pulled hamstring muscle, Mom has relocated her office to the chaise, where Jack parks himself to supervise.
