Crews Work to Protect Campground as Dixie Fire Spreads to 922,192 Acres

Fire crews worked to contain the Dixie Fire as it burned close to the Bogard Campground in Lassen National Forest on Monday, September 6, officials said.

The blaze had spread to 922,192 acres (1,440 square miles) and was at 59 percent containment as of Wednesday, September 8, as officials reported progress along containment lines and said evacuation warnings had been lifted for some parts of Lassen County.
