"Okay! If you’re reading this then comment below admitting to teasing your pet with a laser pointer. Like this dog named Kyootie that is chasing a laser pointer as if he was a cat. Now, this isn’t to say that Kyootie has the same technique as a cat when trying to understand how to capture this bright red light. We have seen a million cats chasing laser pointers and for the most part, their technique is the following: crouch down to size up the laser pointer, watch the laser pointers unpredictable moves before ATTACKING, (obviously) fail to capture the laser pointer, and repeat. Now I don’t mean to add fuel to the cats vs. dogs fire… because in their own way BOTH cats and dogs are loving/ amazing pets to bring into the family. BUT! I have to give it to Kyootie and I will explain why after describing her technique for capturing the bright red light. She stares at the laser pointer and is completely mesmerized, so much that when her owner calls her name directing her to get the dot, she jumps. This tells me that Kyootie was simply appreciating the bright red light and never really had ANY intention of following or chasing the light until her owner told her to. This makes me think that Kyootie knew that the red light is something she could never capture, she was just having fun with her human friend.
