A former member of staff for an ex-Tory MP has decided to continue his political life in boozy fashion, aiming to down a pint in all 650 UK parliamentary constituencies as part of a campaign to highlight the plight of Britain’s pubs.

Jay Chan has been charting his progress on TikTok, quaffing his way through his first 10 constituencies.

Chan was a staffer for Marco Longhi, who was the member for Dudley North until the last election.

His says his campaign is about “raising awareness and supporting British pub heritage and culture.”
