Protesters rallied in Jerusalem on Monday, March 27, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sacked Israel’s defense minister amid continued turmoil over judicial reform plans.

Yoav Gallant was fired from his post on Sunday, a day after he had called for legislation regarding the government’s judicial overhaul to be paused, according to the Times of Israel.

On Monday afternoon, Haaretz reported Netanyahu was set to freeze the judicial overhaul following weeks of protests and a general strike.
