Large Police Presence Amid Fresh Protests in Belgrade

A heavy police presence was seen and the use of tear gas was reported in Belgrade, Serbia, during a second night of protests on July 8 against the response to the coronavirus by the country’s government.

Radio Free Europe quoted a statement from Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic saying the country’s coronavirus crisis team would meet on July 9.
