At least two people were hospitalized after a commuter train struck an SUV on the tracks in Arlington Heights, Illinois – a suburb of Chicago – on Monday, February 24, local media reported.

The Daily Herald said that the driver of the SUV, Kelly O’Brien, 60, was hospitalized, along with one passenger on the train.

This footage, shared by Arlington Dental Associates, shows the moment Metra Union Pacific Northwest train No. 642 struck the white Jeep and pushed it about 500 feet. O’Brien, the driver, was cited for driving around railroad crossing gates, local media said.
