People gathered in Soho, London, as pubs, bars and restaurants were allowed to reopen with social distancing measures on July 4.

In what was dubbed Super Saturday, pubs, bars, restaurants, theme parks, aquariums, arcades, hairdressers, cinemas, theatres, churches, hotels, and campsites reopened with social distancing recommended.

John Apter, a police officer working in Southampton on that date said it was “crystal clear” that drunk people were unable to socially distance.
