Buildings in Mexico City were illuminated in white on October 31 to honour citizens and health workers who took part in the city’s vaccination drive against COVID-19.

The light shows celebrated the completion of the city’s vaccination drive, which had resulted in 100 percent of adults above 18 years old in the city receiving the first dose of a vaccine, according to the local government. Discounts for some businesses and restaurants were available as part of the celebrations too, the Mexican newspaper Milenio reported.
