'Monster' Tornado-Warned Supercell Looms Over Lewistown, Illinois

An Illinois storm chaser filmed footage of a “monster” supercell as severe weather hit the state on April 4.

The footage, filmed by Andrew Sytsma, shows the huge supercell looming in the sky over Lewiston.

“I can’t believe today was real. I haven’t actually chased in almost a year and what a day to get back into it! A literal mothership in Illinois,” Sytsma said in the tweet.
