From a field north of Vermilion in central Alberta, Canada, storm chaser Michael Van der Hoek captured timelapse footage of a storm passing over farmland on May 31.

Describing the sight as a “thrill,” Hoek told Storyful that “the storm dropped 3/4 inch of rain in under an hour and had high winds that caused some trees to fall.”
