The Palace of Auburn Hills, the former home arena of the Detroit Pistons, was imploded in a controlled demolition on July 11.

This footage, taken by Rick Vestuto, shows explosive detonations and the eventual collapse of what remained of the stadium, which workers had been demolishing since March.

The arena opened its doors in 1988, and hosted its last Pistons home game in 2017. That year, the Pistons moved to Little Caesars Arena, located in central Detroit. Credit: Rick Vestuto via Storyful
