Protesters rallied in southern Israel on Monday, March 27, amid continued turmoil over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reform plans.

Israel’s Minister for Defense Yoav Gallant was fired from his post on Sunday, a day after he had called for legislation regarding the government’s judicial overhaul to be paused, according to the Times of Israel.

On Monday afternoon, Haaretz reported Netanyahu was set to freeze the judicial overhaul following weeks of protests and a general strike nationwide.
