Police were deployed in force to AstraZeneca’s plant in Dunkirk on Monday, January 20, ahead of Emmanuel Macron’s arrival, as scores of protesters gathered at the site to demonstrate against .proposed pension reforms

Police and protesters were on site early in the morning ahead of Macron’s arrival at 11:30 a.m. Macron’s visit. Macron was visiting the plant after AstraZeneca announced it would be investing more than €450 million in France, with the creation of about 100 new jobs, according to RFI.
