4 年前

The biggest strikes seen in France since the 1990s entered a second day on December 6, as thousands stayed out of work in protest against pension reforms. Transport services, in particular, were affected.

Official figures said more than 800,000 people across France joined accompanying demonstrations on December 5, with some unions putting the figure as high as 1.5 million.

Unions meeting on December 6 called for a further mass strike on December 10.
